• 要旨：An inability to produce speech sounds poses a significant threat to a child’s psychological and academic well-being. It is natural for young children to make errors in speech sound production. Although many children may “grow out” of their errors, some children continue to have difficulties. Diagnosis of speech disorders may be given when a child presents with such chronic difficulties. It has been reported that 2% to 25% of children ages 5 to 7 years have speech sound disorders. Early identification of children with speech disorders is crucial for preventing further delay and increasing a chance of improving their speech. School teachers and speech-language pathologists play a major role in identification of such children. This lecture provides overview of speech sound disorders and illustrates common signs, symptoms, and causes of the disorders. General assessment and treatment approaches will also be discussed.
  子ども音声障害は成長するにつれて次第に改善されていくものであるが、5～7歳児のうち2～25%は音声障害を持っていると報告されており、早期診断が極めて重要である。早期発見による改善のためには教師や言語聴覚士の役割は大きい。本講義では、子供の音声障害の概観と一般的な兆候・症状・原因を解説し、診断テストや治療法を紹介する。
